The EDUFAX Educational FAQ

I am interested in TRANSFERRING.....

  1. I am currently in a community college and am planning to transfer to a state university next year. Will the state university still consider my high school records ?
  2. I will be relocating in the middle of my junior year at college A to do a 6 month internship in a different state. I plan to take some courses at a local college B while I am interning. When I return to my original college, college A, after finishing the internship, will I be able to transfer the credits from college B ?
  3. How much weight is given to SAT scores in the transferring process and can a high GPA in college make up for a low SAT ?
  4. Where would I find the mailing addresses, e-mail addresses or Internet home pages of the schools I am interested in ?
  5. How does one get the Personalized College Selection Web page EDUFAX offers ?
  6. How do I begin the transferring process ?
  7. Can I use my original TOEFL scores as part of the transferring applications ?
  8. Why do colleges declare classes as "stale" ?
  9. Why do colleges limit the number of credits a student can transfer ?
  10. My high school GPA was 2.0. My college GPA is 3.56. I am interested in transferring to a more prestigious school. Will my high school GPA be a barrier ?
  11. I am in a community college in California and wish to transfer to UCLA or UCB. What is the minimum GPA I need ?
  12. Why aren't all my credits accepted for transfer at some schools ?
