The EDUFAX Educational FAQ

I am interested in SAT/PSAT/ACT.....

Question #49:
  • I am a sophomore and my PSAT score is 1100. Can you project what my score will be on the SAT?
Answer #49:
  • If you did no preparation for the SAT, you should go up (overall) by about 50-100 points simply because you will have learned more by the final test-taking date. It is possible, however, to prepare for these tests and achieve higher scores. With careful attention to math and vocabulary building, it would not be inconceivable for you to achieve scores of 1300 to 1400. On the other hand, all tests are different and one could catch you with unknown vocabulary or difficult math. In short, prediction is impossible, but preparation is beneficial.
Good Luck and may the scores with you.
You can find a listing of test prep books and CD-ROMS available on the Internet and compare their prices, on the EDUFAX site.

Q.#42 : Do colleges see my PSAT?
Q.#77 : In FAQ:34 you state that the PSAT score can be converted to the SAT score by multiplying the PSAT score by 10. However, in FAQ:54 you also state that there is no conversion table...Please clarify.
