The EDUFAX Educational FAQ
I am interested in SAT/PSAT/ACT.....
| Question #41: |
- What kinds of questions are on the PSAT ?
|
| Answer #41: |
- The PSAT includes fill-in-the-blank questions (which test vocabulary and reasoning), analogy questions (which determine the relationship between two sets of words), and reading comprehension passages.
A good vocabulary is almost a guarantee of a good score.
You can ask your high school guidance counselor for a sample test or
for a recommendation of a good prep book. It's never too early to
start preparing for standardized exams such as the PSAT and SAT. It
can only give you a jump-start on the road to college.
You can find PSAT samples in prep books available for the PSAT/
NMSQT and also in SAT I prep books which start out with PSATs and
then progess to SATs (especialy those published by the College
Board).
Use the specialized power search engine available on the
EDUFAX site to find Books and Software to assist you in preparing for the PSAT/SAT I/SAT II/ACT. The engine will return a list of all the available prep books and CDs in ascending order of price.
EDUFAX provides Verbal Test Prep Tutorials (PSAT/SAT I/SAT II/ACT).
