The EDUFAX Educational FAQ

I am interested in SAT/PSAT/ACT.....

Question #4:
  • I am a senior and am desperate to raise my SAT I score. What do you suggest I do ?
Answer #4:
  • Memorizing a dictionary won't help. Learn two or three words a day by using them from morning till night. Teach yourself to recognize what the SAT questions are looking for. Analyze your mistakes. Make a study group with friends who are serious about this and learn from each other. If you can afford a tutor, don't hesitate to use one. If not, ask your Math teacher and English teacher for pointers. Use a computer program to take as many tests as you can and again, analyze your mistakes. The SATs are given several times a year so you have several chances to improve your score. Colleges will consider the two highest scores (highest Verbal + highest Math) for your total composite score. (by way of GOCOLLEGE)
Use the EDUFAX search engine to find Books and Software to assist you in preparing for the PSAT/SAT I/SAT II/ACT.
EDUFAX provides Verbal Test Prep Tutorials (PSAT/SAT I/SAT II/ACT).
