The EDUFAX Educational FAQ

I am interested in SAT/PSAT/ACT.....

Question #36:
  • I am going into 9th grade and was interested in taking the SATs. So far I have gotten a 450, but I'll be taking geometry this year. Do you think I should take it this year?
Answer #36:
  • It can be very frustrating to take the SAT before you have studied all the subject material. I suggest you take the PSAT in Grades 10 & 11, and start taking the "real" SAT I in the spring of your junior year. The SAT II should be taken as close as possible to studying the subject, so if you take Biology in Grade 9 or 10, take the SAT II at the end of the year. If you are determined to begin studying now, buy a book of real SATs and practice the old- fashioned way -- with pencil and paper.
Use the EDUFAX search engine to find Books and Software to assist you in preparing for the PSAT/SAT I/SAT II/ACT.
EDUFAX provides Verbal Test Prep Tutorials (PSAT/SAT I/SAT II/ACT).
