Is a student penalized if he/she takes the SAT multiple times? Does it provide good practice ?

Answer #14:

Most schools consider only the two highest scores -- highest Verbal and highest Math make a composite. It is beneficial to practice, but it can be done on a computer program or in a practice book as well. A student will never be penalized for taking the SAT numerous times.
