The EDUFAX Educational FAQ

I am interested in RETURNING to school.....

Question #25:
  • I am 32 years old. I have college credits from two CSU campuses; my grades were Cs & Bs. I am interested in "dropping back in" to college. Can I get into the UC system, or even Harvard?
Answer #25:
  • Your eligibility for the UC system, and even for Harvard, depends largely on what you have done since you dropped out of college. If you can convince them that you have used the years to grow and develop a true appreciation of what an education means, you might have a very good chance of acceptance at some fine schools.
Your best bet is to call the admissions offices of the schools which interest you. Set up an appointment to talk (by phone or in person) with the person in charge of adult students or transfer admissions. Some schools have different requirements for re-entry learners and you may find that it is easier than you thought to return to college.
Learning is a lifelong pleasure. It is never to late to go back to school.
EDUFAX provides services for the Adult/Non-Traditional/Re-entry Student.
