Use the following guidelines to get started:
- Find a thorough record of all past academic endeavors. Colleges range from noncompetitive to most competitive, so there is a place for anyone who wishes to learn.
- Make a careful list of your accomplishments. Some colleges give credit for life experience. You can also earn credits through CLEP testing, submission of AP grades, and proficiency tests. Ask the admissions office.
- Evaluate your economic situation and your daily commitments so that you can see which program-full-time, part-time, day, or evening-is right for you.
- Find out about entrance provisions and standardized testing. Make sure that you fulfill all requirements for admission before you submit your application.
