I took the ACT in the 60's and am planning to return to school. Will I need to retake the ACT ?

Answer #1:

Most forms of standardized testing are not valid after 15 years. However, you can contact the ACT at P.O. Box 168, Iowa City, Iowa, 52243 to find out more information about your particular situation. As a non-traditional student (i.e., over age 25), you have the option of being considered by many schools nation-wide for your life experience and academic potential instead of your outdated grades and test scores. Make a list of the schools which interest you and contact the Admissions offices directly. Don't accept second-hand information. (by way of GOCOLLEGE). EDUFAX provides services for the Adult/Non-Traditional/Re-entry Student.
