The EDUFAX Educational FAQ

I have a LEARNING DISABILITY.....

Question #35:
  • I am looking for colleges in Iowa that provide good LD programs.
Answer #35:
  • Remember that each student with a learning disability needs different services, accommodations, and remediation. You should speak with each program specifically to determine if the school can meet your individual needs. It is not enough to apply to a college that has LD services. You must find out exactly what services they provide and how the services are delivered.
Following is a list of some of the colleges in Iowa which offer services for students with learning disabilities (in alphabetical order):
    • Cornell College, Mount Vernon
    • Drake University, Des Moines
    • Grinnell College, Grinnell
    • Indian Hills Community College, Ottumwa
    • Iowa State University
    • Loras College, Dubuque
    • University of Iowa
    • University of Northern Iowa
    • Saint Ambrose University, Davenport
    • Waldorf College, Forest City

EDUFAX provides Verbal Test Prep Tutorials (PSAT/SAT I/SAT II/ACT).
EDUFAX provides services for the Learning Disabled Student.
