The EDUFAX Educational FAQ
I am an INTERNATIONAL, FOREIGN STUDENT interested in applying to an American college.....
| Question #14: |
- I am a foreign student interested in applying to an
American school. My GPA is 3.9, I am a member of the National Honor
Society, and am in the top 10% of my school. My ACT scores are:
English=15, Math=28, Reading=19, Science=20. My SAT scores are:
Math=720, Verbal=350. What are my chances of getting into a
competitive school ?
|
| Answer #14: |
-
The best thing you can do to help gain admission to a competitive
school is bring up your standardized test scores in English and
Verbal sections. You appear to be a promising student, but if you
don't meet international student requirements in English, you will
have to wait to gain admission. Contact the schools to ask what
they require and how your numbers compare with their general
applicant pool. Be aware that your college essay will be a very
important part of your application because it will highlight your
use of the written language.
