The EDUFAX Educational FAQ
I am interested in GRADUATE SCHOOL.....
| Question #27: |
- I had a low GPA (2.6) in college. Since then, I have taken graduate courses at an accredited university where I have achieved a higher GPA (3.6). Do I have a chance of being accepted to a competitive graduate school, such as NYU ? (courtesy Lilly Knight, Carmel, CA)
|
| Answer #27: |
- NYU is indeed highly competitive, but a successful graduate school
record usually erases a weak undergraduate program. Have you taken
credit-bearing courses toward a degree or just random courses in
subjects which interest you? You best bet is to call the department
where you are interested in studying and ask to speak with an
admissions representative.
