The EDUFAX Educational FAQ
I am interested in COLLEGE.....
| Question #71: |
- What state universities have honors programs and do they offer merit scholarships?
|
| Answer #71: |
- The University of Maryland has three levels of honors programs,
all accompanied by substantial stipends. The University of Massa-
chusetts is turning its honors program into a separate entity,
named Commonwealth College.
Do not hesitate to apply to private universities. You may get a
better stipend there. One of my clients was offered a $7,500 merit
scholarship at Occidental (which he had not asked for), renewable
yearly. This was probably because he was at the top of the applicant
pool.
Find the mailing addresses, e-mail addresses or Internet home pages
of these and any other schools in the USA and the world through the
EDUFAX resource page. I suggest you identify schools first, then do a realistic assessment of your financial capability.
