The EDUFAX Educational FAQ

I am interested in COLLEGE.....

Question #59:
  • I will be starting my senior year this fall. My GPA is 3.2, my SAT score is 1350, my ACT is 29. Is it too late to get into a good college? Is there anything I can do to improve my chances?
Answer #59:
  • It is never too late to find a college that can educate and challenge you. Sometimes colleges respect a student more if he or she shows evidence of academic growth and maturity. Your scores are quite high and should convince admission officers that you have the potential to do well.
It's hard to know what you mean by a "good" college. If you mean the Ivy League, you would greatly expand your options by attending a post-graduate year at a prep school before applying to college. Otherwise, there are many colleges which offer marvelous educational opportunities to students who can prove they can do the work and care about the outcome.

EDUFAX provides services for the Collegebound High School Student.
