The EDUFAX Educational FAQ
I am interested in COLLEGE.....
| Question #56: |
- Is it wise to submit my ACT/SAT score to the colleges before taking a shot at repeating the tests ? (courtesy GOCOLLEGE)
|
| Answer #56: |
- Colleges consider your scores at one time only -- when your file is
being read by the admissions officers. They will usually take the
highest combination (SAT Verbal and SAT Math) as your composite score,
so it makes no difference when you send them. If you know what
schools interest you at the time you take the ACT/SATs, by all means
submit the scores. Otherwise, there is plenty of time to request that
the results be sent later to the colleges which interest you. The SAT
II offers a program called Score Choice, which enables you to hold
your subject scores until you have three which you consider
appropriate.
