The EDUFAX Educational FAQ
I am interested in COLLEGE.....
| Question #208: |
- I am considering pre-med or pre-dental in college.
Where can I find a listing of the courses I will have to take? (courtesy Mike Raher, Leominster, MA).
|
| Answer #208: |
- The requirements for pre-med and pre-dental are fairly similar, from
Podunk University to Harvard.
Most schools have a pre-med advisory committee which will help
ensure that you complete the courses required by medical and dental
schools. Otherwise, you will have to do a pre-med or a pre-dental
program after college. You can choose any major you like, but you
will have to complete courses like Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry,
etc.
You can find a listing of the pre-med and pre-dental requirements in
the catalogue of any school which has a formal pre-med or pre-dental
advisory committee. You can also look up "pre-med" on any search
engine on the 'Net and find some sample programs.
