The EDUFAX Educational FAQ

I am interested in COLLEGE.....

Question #18:
  • My GPA is 2.9. My PSAT Math score is 540 and PSAT Verbal score is 520. I attend a private prep school. What are my chances of getting into an Ivy League School ? (courtesy GOCOLLEGE)
Answer #18:
  • Unless there is a dramatic change in your SAT scores and your GPA, it is unlikely that an Ivy League school will accept you. However, many factors complete the application and you may have a special talent that a school respects. You could also work hard on your test scores and GPA, attend a PG (post graduate) year at a good prep school, and give yourself a better chance. Don't forget that there are many schools outside the Ivy League where you can get a wonderful education.
