The EDUFAX Educational FAQ
I am interested in COLLEGE.....
| Question #105: |
- If I choose not to take Chemistry or Algebra II in
high school, will my chances of being accepted to a decent college
be hurt? (courtesy Natalie Liccardello, Highlands Ranch, CO)
|
| Answer #105: |
- Most good colleges require 3-4 years of math and 3 years of science.
Arrangements can be made for students with specific learning
differences, but these must be documented at the high school level.
You will also need to know Algebra II to score respectably on the
SAT, so I suggest you take it. You may, however, submit another
science in place of Chemistry, if you are afraid that it will be a
thorn in your side.
EDUFAX provides services for the Collegebound High School Student.
